NBAI/Andrew Hall F/A-18 Hornet????

Post by f47420 »

Hi all .Some of you may know I'm trying to get back into repainting ..I've been working on the Hornet by Nick Black and came across the remodeled one by Andrew Hall ..The paint kit I'm working on could be redone to cope with the reworked model but there is only one F/A-18B/D done .It has no load out just a clean Aircraft ..Is there others out there ?? Has anyone got the reworked model with all the bits ie F/A-18 A/B or C/D with loadouts.. The only ones I've found are the ones in the RAAF packages released here on MAIW..The model rework by Andrew has thing like the air brake model on the top of the aircraft plus other bits which make a better model overall..Anyone got any info .Here's hoping ..

The only ones I've seen are in the RAAF Hornet packs..
Also the models are in RAAF colours ie very light grey ..

After a quick look at the packs then the models were called model.x_RAAF_xxxxx .

He only did A/Bs as that was the only type in service for Australia. I am guessing that he never openly released the paint kit as he had painted them all himself. Although the documention does mention that the schemes were done by Mark Griggs and himself so it is possible that Mark still has the paint kit.

I think that those are mods of the original Nick Black models rather than Drew's mods.

Thanks for the link .Andrew rework has more things going on .Moving air brake ,allerons separate of the main flaps and jet nozzle expansion etc etc..
Also the way the texture has been layed out there is more detailed parts..The only thing is no folding wings and on the B/D model there is no weapons loadout ..It wont take alot to rework the paint kit ie moving bits around the kit plus adding new bits like the horizontal stabs. The new ones are much larger so more detail .. and adding the top panel between the stabs which has the airbrake so you can add detail to this area also..
