Swiss Bases
Wee change of pace.
Following a prompt to my memory, I've uploaded afcad/ade files for the scenery provided by ISRA, which covers most if not all Swiss AF bases.
They are available here.
The sceneries can be downloaded here;
http://www.isra.ch/
They're nowt special, but allow you to have all those nice F5, F18 PC-7 repaints flying around.
Note: remove the original afcads from each download.

Re: Swiss Bases
Thank god Stew! I was surprised I couldn't find it, I figured someone more talented than me would have done this already. The bases are phenomenal, and I am surprised they weren't designed with AI parking. Anyway thanks a lot, now I can get my F-18's and F-5's into realistic airspace over my favorite country. I will be seeing it in person next year.
You are the best man, thanks!
Dan
PS Did you include Emmen AB in Lucerne? I found one scenery for it, its kind of lame but it has parking. Surprised it wasn't covered in Isra's bases, its a Swiss air base popular for all the airshows and it also is the main base for the Swiss air police so that makes no sense. Next to Payerne, its probably the most used air base in Switzerland. I think either 11 or 17 Staffel is based there, along with one F-5 unit and of course, Patrouille Suisse. Surprising it wasn't included.

Re: Swiss Bases
Hi Dan,
Yep, Emmen is included - using this scenery;
http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php ... d=25650017
I think the reason there were no AI parking spots, is that the guys involved are members of a Virtual Swiss AF and do online flying with other members.

Thanks a lot Stewart, they were sorely needed
Re: Swiss Bases
Thanks Stew, but that link to the Emmen scenery doesn't work. Nothing found.

No need to apologize. That info is good enough for me.

Re: Swiss Bases
Yep that works. Thanks!
What does Switzerland use for refueling? Do they have their own Kc-135's or .......? It would make sense they would have a unit of refuellers, c-130's, or C-27's, but I have never seen any footage of them. Unless Switzerland is so small they just land when they refuel, which also makes sense. Maybe they don't need cargo planes because they are never flying anywhere far enough to need supplies .... or gas. I have no idea.
I know they are big on choppers, and I am sure someone will do paints for them. Thanks again for tying up Switzerland!

Re: Swiss Bases
Switzerland is very small indeed (120nm at its widest north/sourth, 175nm east/west), so they have no need for tankers. They're also not a member of any military alliances, so they don't need to haul cargo around the world.
Re: Swiss Bases
Stew,
A quick question, hopefully. The files for Alpnach, are they to use with the files found in the Lucerne scenery or completely separate. I know the afcad would be replaced but what about the alpnach.bgl?

Re: Swiss Bases
Contine to make my Euro rounds and now working on both Swiss and Austrian forces. Found some FSX versions of LSMP and LSMM. Intalling the scenery bgl's and AF2's for these and hope they work in X.
Now just trying to find AI to populate them outside of the F-18/F-5/PC-6/PC-7. Both have pretty large rotary-wing assets.
