Texture Files

Post by usb »

Have always wondered, some packages come with a couple texture files (NBAI Weapons2.bmp, NBAI Brake_Chute.bmp) I see they go into the main texture folder. What are they for and what would I be looking for? What about the need for them when converting the files for use in FSX? By the way, L have all your stuff in FS( and FSX. Love it! It has really enhanced my flight sim experience!

They're common textures that are going to be the same for all repaints of a given type, regardless of their individual livery. Putting them in the main texture folder means you don't have to put one in each separate aircraft texture folder, at the cost of a slight performance hit (or so I've been told).
