RAF Bruggen for FSX - within a short time but restricted

Post by Manschy »

Hi everybody,

just to say, I did decide to release RAF Bruggen for FSX, but in a restricted version.

What does it mean?
As you all know me meanwhile, I always need a long time for my sceneries, due to my spare time and - especially for converting the P3D Bruggen back to FSX - the needed skills.

So I don't want to keep you waiting any longer for a scenery which is almost ready, but with only some minor restrictions.

These restrictions are still missing ground polygon seasons, especially for winter and hard winter.

But if you use RAF Bruggen from spring to fall, you should have fun anyway.

With help of Martin (GSNDE), the download should be aviable shortly...

Especially for the FSX version, thanks for your patience so far...
Regards, Manfred.

Is anyone else having issues with the .zip file? I have tried downloading it four times twice from sim-outhouse; one from here; and again from here using a download manager and all four times when I go to open the file I get an error message stating "windows cannot open the folder. The compressed (zipped) folder 'ETUR_RAF_BRUGGEN_FSX_RESTRICTED.zip' is invalid"

The fault is on the Zip that was provided. we need for Manfred to provide another one. Sorry for that. I hide the download for now.
Cheers,
Martin

That's pure Manfred!

Sorry for that, I zipped it with 7z, and not sure, if anybody else use "7z", I simply renamed the ending from "7z" to "ZIP". Unpacking the scenery afterwards worked fine for me. That way, I uploaded the package.
Seems I am no expert in this, too less experience with this kind of stuff
To all who did download the package already, just rename the ending back to "7z" and you should be able to unpack the scenery.

Martin, you don't have to apologize for this, it's my fault and I have to thank you for your effort.
I will upload another package tonight.

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience.
Regards, Manfred.

Sure enough changing the file extension to .7z made it work with 7zip... Yes, you cannot just change file extensions (types) and expect the computer to automatically recognize the file format.. Just as a .doc and a .txt are not the same and opening a .doc as a .txt would make a mess... entirely different file formats...

So after over 80 downloads until now without any feedback, I guess there are no issues and you are all satisfied. That's great.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :smt001 .
Regards, Manfred.
