Augusta Westland AW139’s

Post by Greg »

We are pleased to release the AW139 AI packages that have been produced collaboratively between John, Brent and Giorgio. The packages, for FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4, each feature 82 paints covering Italian and Japanese examples in a wide range of roles.

Go to the briefing.

A number of the callsigns that are referenced in this package are included in my file atc_callsigns_Pack_13 that I've uploaded to AVSIM and Flightsim this evening. Should be available sometime over the next 24 hours.

Don't forget Giorgio, Andy.

The 139's do look good in the sim. For me the best appearance is in FSX. FS9 is a little flat, while P3Dv4 doesn't quite give the vibrance for me, although I'm still experimenting with all those graphics settings. It was nice to have so many colours and gloss/reflection variables to model with for a change.

Here are photoreal textures for 4 CHC Scotia AW139's. My Sim is FS9 and the main texture is in 32bit plus mips.

I'm going to look at painting some Bristows now.

I have disabled the above link to the CHC's as there was a mistake in the paint. I will make the paints available again when perfect. (I'm going to do the props as well.)

Can do. Is the callsign is SCHREINER for CHC Netherlands?

I have re-done the prop blades and blur for all my paints.

Here are the CHC (UK) and Bristow paints. 4 of each and one Coastguard. The CHC Netherlands will be along shortly.... I accidentally erased them so I have to make them again. DOH!
