NATO Air Weapons Ranges in MAIW packages...ONE question

Post by Janeway »

Several MAIW packages contain Weapon Ranges, especially in Europe.
Here's a list of what I currently have on my FS9 setup:
Capa Frasca Range
Siegenburg Range
Nordhorne Range
Lanzarote Range
Helchteren Bombing Range
Bardenas Range
Spadeadam Range
Vliehors Range
Suippes Range
Tain Range
Cape Wrath Range
Biscarosse Range
Donna Nook Range

Since I have not installed ALL available MAIW packages, there may be other ranges.
My ONE question is this:
Does the Pampa Range (in Belgium) exist in ANY of the MAIW packages ?

If not, then that's it.
But IF it does lurk in some MAIW package, I would appreciate somebody pointing it out for me, please...

This Pampa Air Weapons Range in Belgium was well-known in the sixties, along with the Suippes Range in France,
and the Siegenburg Range in Germany, and Capa Frasca in Sardinia.
These last tree ranges exist in some MAIW packages. But to date, I've not seen the Pampa Weapons Range anywhere...
Incidentally, as the first screenshot illustrates, the Pampa Range was in close proximity to Kleine Brogel Air Base,
which is available in one of the MAIW packages: MAIW Belgian F-16s Kleine Brogel (Project Manager: Nick Black)

Not as far as I know

I've seen a Pampa scenery, but don't remind where. I'll have a look on my backup hard disk.

For all the other ranges, can you put in wich MAIW pack these range can be found ? Thanks a lot.

To be honest..I do NOT.
These weapons ranges are installed along with the "Waypoints" found in many packages.
Such files are grouped together into a SINGLE folder, and not with the specific scenery folder it belongs to.
This helps to cut down on duplicate waypoints/ranges scattered among all the installed sceneries.
ON my setup, this ensures that only ONE copy of a particular waypoint or range exists.

Since I have installed many packages over months and even years, it's not easy to remember which package each range belongs to.
I apologise for not being able to assist you on this, right now.
However, I will check out some of them in the coming days, and maybe locate some (if not all) for you.

At short notice, here's what I found in this forum.

Go to this topic:
It helps you narrow down the search - for now - to specific countries (nations)

"Helchteren Bombing Range" is Pampa.
