Re: JAI Skyraider
Thanks to Ray for the beta testing as well as the paints, I have upgraded the model in several ways (better LOD's, working tailhook, better pilot, armed version) and a better mapping job. This E version should be ready in a day or so I hope and the H is not far behind. (Ray, I didn't change any of the map parts position on the map, but I did a better job with them and added a few) Oh, and I made the anti-glare panel in front of the cockpit a separate piece.
This guy has been sitting on my hard drive for several years now and it's good to see it at last coming out. Thank you, Ray!

Sorry, I think I got that backwards . This is the H version I think. The E was the 2-seater.
If anyone has any more info on the Skyraider nomenclature, I would appreciate it. I know at some point it was changed to AD+, but I am confused
Thanks

Re: JAI Skyraider
Jake, it was originally the AD-1, which was the old system the USN used. A new unified system came in sometime around the late 50s/early 60s.
If you look at the wikipedia entry for the A-1 Skyraider it gives you a list of all the variants plus the old and new designations. It may solve your needs.

Outstanding Ray!
Did you get the armed version I sent you with the better mapping?

Re: JAI Skyraider
The paint looks great Ray but I assume the new map I sent you still doesn't give you the cockpit or the gear doors? They show up on my machine. Let me check a few things.
