I downloaded the super puma heli but I'm having a problem, there are some flight plans added which is great by the way but in the plans some airfields or are they waypoints:
DZCT,N42* 10.50',E9* 32.29',36
FKBH,N42* 32.49',E9* 29.03',23
FKCH,N42* 30.68',E8* 47.45',207
FKFH,N41* 29.59',E9* 5.29',85
FKJH,N41* 55.01',E8* 48.09',16
FKSH,N41* 55.32',E9* 24.04',26
I put them in the TTools Airports folder but when I start FS and go to view the airport isn't listed, I have compiled the plans too by the way, any ideas please, I've not had this before when adding new airports or waypoints?
It sounds a lot simpler than it is. For example if you used the amount of thrust used for taxying, always 10%, the only issue that you would have is that when the aircraft stopped i.e. at a hold short point it would drop back to the ground and if you had a queue of helos it would like the most bizarre line dance you had ever seen.
My opinion is that what you would have to do is use a global variable. Set that to 1 when the engine is on and the lights are on and the aircraft is on the ground. Then when the engine1 first goes to 10%, lock the variable until (for example) the aircraft is on the ground and the flaps are greater than 0. You may get some stopping and starting on the way back but it is better than nothing.
When the global is set to 1 action the animation.
You never know somebody smart may come up with a variable that can be used to unlock the global until at the parking spot.

It is definitely not simple. Whatever variables are used to trigger/un-trigger the hover taxi, mustn't conflict with the variables used to trigger the vertical lift on take-off and the transition to land. Those two phases of the flight use throttle position, speed and altitude in the coding. As Steve says, there's the added problem of what happens when the helicopter stops on the taxiway in a queue and the throttle goes back to zero. When using lights as part of the trigger, they behave differently in FS9 and FSX and that adds another complication. The beacon light for example, which is a widely used trigger for things like crew and canopies comes on 15 minutes before departure in FS9 and at departure in FSX. That's why many FSX canopies remain open when the aircraft is parked.
Kevin is the wiz with xml triggers and I know he has wrestled with hover taxi for a long time. I don't think he's yet found a workable solution, but hopefully one day....

Can I check that you have got afcads that are setup for AI traffic at the other bases? I know that it is a really basic question but sometimes you need to start at the beginning.

yes Steve I have got afcads for the bases except for LFBZ, and I rechecked the cfg for parking codes and types etc just incase I had missed something out.

parking spot sizes are beyond my scope I am sorry to say. The afcad I am using at LFBD allows Transalls and 737 aircraft to park as for the other afcads LFBZ/LFBH/LFRN which I downloaded from Avsim and Flightsim there are no aircraft parked at them so I am at a loss.

Well w/o looking into it, the only FP reason that I can think of is if it is a weekly plan and an early plan has a leg end time later than the next leg start time.
What happens is that if an aircraft can't show up for leg 5, for example - because it hasn't arrived from leg 4, then it won't show up for any subsequent leg either.
To be fair most people use things like AIFP to check this nowadays so it is unlikely to be this case.
Now there could be an afcad reason. Even if there are valid parking spots available the aircraft will disappear if there is no route to get to the runway.
The only other thing I can think of at the moment is that you haven't accounted for the fact that flightplans are in GMT and you may be looking in Local time for the traffic.

LFBZ and LFBH are used as WP with same arrival/departure time. Stop in LFBD (one night) and LFRN (34 mn)
It exist various scenery of airports (for exemple LFBD, default scenery, Bordeaux Mérignac 1961, Regional Airport by France VFR...)
And...i am not a specialist of flightplanning.

Hello Miguel,
For FS9 i am using :
for Meiringen (LSMM) the very detailled scenery by Pete and all possible sceneries by the same author (isra.ch)
for Emmen (LSME) and also Alpnach (LSMA) "Lucerne Switzerland Area Air Bases" by David Allan (flightsim.com)
Best regards
Jacques
