Yes, actually I have. If the sun is below the contrail, it will cause the contrail to look as if it's glowing. One of the most beautiful things I've seen flying is when the sun is below the horizon, but still reflecting light off of high contrails.

If you tie the nacelle movement to a speed trigger it should be possible. I believe the swing wing models do it that way.
