Re: Thoughts on the next project
This is not an official MAIW package. I made it.
The E-2 model was never included.

Re: Thoughts on the next project
I think the NAS Norfolk scenery was made by Brent Newman. I modified the AFCAD files for the MH-53s. AFAIK the E-2s were never part of a MAIW package. There are repaints and flightplans by several authors. At least 4 E-2s would be stationed at Iwakuni. If you chose to do the E-2s would you also cons...

Re: Objects not showing up in sim
Objects can be "area locked". If the bgl file contains the model and placement information then this model will only show up on this specific location. I had this issue when I was working on the Patuxent River scenery. I placed the skijump ramp from a UK000 ? scenery at Pax River. It would...

HU: Sale @ Simmarket
Just a heads up. There is a sale at Simmarket until Sunday. I recently bought the complete package of FS2004 DRZEWIECKI DESIGN Polish sceneries over there. It is currently available for less than 6 €. This might be especially interesting since it covers almost all major Polish airports. Many of them...

Re: FS2004 Neuburg AB (ETSN) problems
A dupicate AFCAD file for ETSN with a different altitude?
Do other AI aircraft behave the same way at ETSN?Seen it happen with a corrupt aircraft.cfg, especially with missing [General] onwards sections.

Re: FS9 troubleshooting with Procmon
While I am not an IT expert I think I remember to have read somewhere that is is not advised to have your FS9 installation under C:\Program Files (x86)\. There might be issues with FS9 not having the right to read or write on a certain location (folder). Access rights to locations/folders might also...

Re: AI Il-18, Il-20, Il-22 & Il-38
Thanks for the heads up regarding these models, But how do you make these FSX models show up in FS9? I get an error message that the mdl file cannot be loaded. I tested it with the AI-IL-18\model.il18d\d\ model Hexeditor shows MDLXMDLH which means it is a true FSx model and no FS9 portover I succesf...

Re: 21st Air Base, Swidwin - Poland
Hartwig, is your Swidwin/Su-22 project still alive?? Based on our email exchange from Nov last year I thought something would have been released by now? I am still keeping the Su-22 FSX/P3D conversion on hold. Henk. Henk, your last post is completely inappropriate! You are not going to get any answ...

Re: FSX Battle of Britain
Sorry, but this AFCAD is incomplete.
From what can be seen from the screenshot the runway links are missing.
It will not work for AI aircraft like that.
I strongly advice you to study the ADE manual.
There is a description on how to create an airport from scratch.

Re: What tools work best for AI repaints
PaintNet I have done all my stuff using it. It supports layers and can open most of the paint kits, if not all (you might have to install a plugin first for a specific file type first). I found it more intuitive than GIMP when I started repainting. I think for a beginner it might be less overwhelmin...

Re: Seville-San Pablo - A400M and C-295 plant
Please find attached a modified AFCAD file to fix the switched runway designator issue:
simply overwrite the old file:
Alan, please let us know whether that solves the AI issues that you are experiencing.

Re: Seville-San Pablo - A400M and C-295 plant
Hi Hartwig I had the same problem as Alan, What was happening in my system (P3Dv4) was that AI aircraft were turning onto finals lining up on the runway and then turning away and flying off never to return. I have changed the Runway designators around and am checking now to see if that was the caus...
