Re: CT-142 Gonzo request
Hi Gavin,
I had the 4 of them done up for the TFS model. I'll see if I can find my files, it's been a long time since I've done any painting.

Re: Aussie Hercs
Was dreading when this question would be asked again, as I actually haven't turned on my sim computer in quite some time. I have them done, but not released. Got bogged down with RL, and frustrated in packaging them up trying to get rid of the purple artifacts on the DXT5 compression. so it kind of ...

Very nice indeed!
I for one am staying with P3D for some time. MSFS in some cases looks nice, but I find the overall interface, etc, too "game"like for me.
Cheers,
Darren

Good Evening,
Greg Putz just released an awesome scenery for CYWG (17 Wing RCAF) at Avsim.com. Search for cywg_winnipeg_2020.zip.
FS9 only optimized, so not sure if, or how it will work in FSX/P3D.
Cheers,
Darren

ACG had an updated one in the works a few years ago. I am not sure who was doing it, but pretty sure it was never released, or completed. It did look amazing though.

It's actually the airplanedoktor that made Fat Albert. And speaking of him, I wonder how he's doing on the Aussie Hercs. I'm not becoming impatient, just curious on how those are coming. https://i.imgur.com/GLgW0qh.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/zBV1sUo.jpg?1 They're coming. With trying to get P3Dv5 wor...

You're going to need some 146s to go there now. Absolutely loved the place when I was flying out of there.
Go Wolfpack!

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials
I'll have a go at it.
Fat Albert stopped using JATO bottles several years ago, and was retired last year. The replacement aircraft is a used Hercules C5 from the RAF, that is undergoing maintenance and modification at the moment. It is set to appear for the 2021 season.
Cheers,
Darren

Re: Thoughts on the next project
Hi John, For the CH-148 Cyclone, they are split between Shearwater and 443 Sqn Pat Bay (CYYJ, Victoria, BC) for a total of 28. 443 falls under 12 Wing with 406 (OCU/OTS) and 423 Sqns in Shearwater. 1 Wing operates the CH-146 Griffon (B412) and CH-147 Chinook. You are correct, the Griffons are disper...

Re: P3D v5 Randolph Air Force base
Hi Tim, I'm sorry, I think Greg is right on this one. Here's my default P3Dv5 without any addons at all at Randolph; https://i.imgur.com/LGwD3JC.jpg?1 I must say I'm pretty disappointed at v5 straight out of the box, thankfully I have most of the ORBX stuff to transfer over from v4.5. It is nice to ...

Hi Gavin,
Yes, it is quite a bit different. We had to go add Main Landing Gear doors, and take all the windows out to make the back one bigger.
We just can't leave well enough alone.
Cheers!

Had a chance to see the Aircraft Maintenance Trainer (AMT) in St. John’s last week on its way to Comox. This aircraft will be disassembled, placed inside the new SAR training facility, the re-assembled as a training aid for RCAF technicians. Evident are the enlarged bubble window, main landing gear ...
