Missed texture and crash

Post by bismarck »

Ok, it's my turn...
Completely rebuilt the PC and backup all my FS9 sceneries.
Evidently the external disk where I saved my files has something corrupted.
First a problem at LIRE, then at Mahram, thought I've finished with Duxford, and now a problem over France...
How to find the affected texture?
Microsoft Procmon? I do not understand how it works...
Any other SW?

Thanks, Giorgio

I use filemon to search for missing textures.

It will list all files that the programmes currently running on your system try to access.

Run filemon while loading the scenery that keeps crashing.
Then filter the list for "FS9.exe".
You will now see the files FS9 is looking for and wheather they have been found or not.
When FS9 does not find a scenery texture it is looking for it will start searching in all available folders until it finally crashes.

Hope this helps.
