13Jan12 - New Package: Osan AB version 2
Military AI Works is proud to release a new version of one of our very first military AI packages that we created over 5 years ago, Osan Air Base version 2 by Desmond Burrell.
This strategic base sits in the heart of the Korean peninsula and serves as a permanent home to the United States Air Force 51st Fighter Wing. This wing is comprised of the 25th Fighter Squadron known as the "Flying Elvises" which currently operate the A-10C Warthog and the 36th Fighter Squadron known as the "Flying Fiends" which operate the F-16CM and F-16D Viper. Together with a semi-permanent detachment of U-2S aircraft from the 9th Reconnaissance Wing, Beale AFB, this is an active front line base.
This package features the F-16C/D model from Henry Tomkiewicz, the A-10C model by Rysiek Winawer and Michael MacIntyre and the U-2S model by Kevin Reed and Michael MacIntyre. Combined with the original custom scenery set for Osan AB and newly updated aircraft textures this package is reborn to mirror today's operations at Osan.
Be sure to remove any parts of the original MAIW/WoAI Osan AB package from 2006 as this new version is a complete replacement for the earlier version. This base is visited by many aircraft from other MAIW packages and makes for an exciting spotting location.
Look for more MAIW packages to help fill in the Korean peninsula soon!
